What I do

Commissioned by the Secretary of State, a Notary serves the public to act as an impartial third party to bear witness and assure authenticity during the execution of important documents. Steps, such as verification of identity, are taken to properly complete and perform all notarizations. Additionally, certain documents require an oath to be administered, for the signer to swear or affirm, under penalty of perjury, that the information contained in the document is true and correct.
During a signing, I will verify your identity, ensure that you have an understanding of the contents of the document(s) you are signing, and that you are a willing participant in the transaction. There are a wide variety of official documents I can help you execute, which transact business in our civil society. Among them are the following:
Mortgage & Real Estate
Documents
Legal Documents
Wills, Affidavits & Trusts
Healthcare
Power of Attorney
Financial
Power of Attorney
Transfer of Motor Vehicle
General Notarial Acts
About ID
Notarization is required as fraud deterrent for many documents. It must be established that the signer not only is who he/she claims to be, but also has an understanding of the document(s) he/she is signing, and that the signature is executed willingly and not under duress or coercion. The identification you present must be valid and unexpired. At our signing, you will need one of the following forms of ID:
State Issued Driver License or ID
US Passport
Armed Forces ID
Other Government
Issued ID
Credible Person
At the time we set and confirm our appointment, we will discuss what you need to have on hand in order for the signing to proceed in a smooth manner.
Be advised of the following prior to making an appointment for notary services: A Notary is not an attorney, and therefore cannot provide legal advice. If you have legal concerns, please consult a licensed law professional or your local Bar Association. Also, a Notary cannot revise documents. If you have questions about the contents or terms of any document that requires notarization, please contact the document originator.
